Romeo Is A Dead Man version 1.4.000 update patch notes

The following issues have been fixed in this update:

All Platforms

We fixed an issue in the Chapter 4 boss battle where players could get stuck in an endless fall if they died while their most recent save was located in the “Subspace” area. This prevented further gameplay, and has now been resolved.

If you saved the game while this problem happened, letting Romeo fall to his death once should fix things and return the game to normal.

PlayStation5 / Xbox Series XIS Versions

Resolved audio problems that happened when starting a new game, including music not playing and sounds being unclear.

Steam Version

  • Fixed an issue causing the rendering frame rate to drop significantly under specific conditions with
    DLSS enabled.
  • Fixed an issue preventing language settings from being applied correctly under specific conditions.
  • Removed the “Upsampling Quality” option from the Graphics Settings menu.
  • The “Graphics Quality” option in the Graphics Settings menu has been moved to just below the “Upsampling Method” option.
  • FSR3, DLSS, and XeSS quality are now affected by the “Graphics Quality” setting.
  • The quality settings for FSR3, DLSS, and XeSS previously offered three levels: Performance, Balance, and Quality. However, since linking them to the “Graphics Quality” setting, they now cover five levels:
Low, Medium, High, Very High, and Ultra High.

When the setting is changed to Ultra High, the upsampler uses the full original resolution, which helps smooth out jagged edges and improve image quality.

Future Updates for Romeo is a Dead Man

We’re working on a solution for a problem that’s stopping some trophies, which track how many times you do something, from unlocking correctly on the PlayStation 5.

Once the fix is complete, we will release another update.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience the above-listed bugs may have caused our players.
