"Chk Chk Boom" Music Video Drops: Stray Kids Stans Ryan Reynolds & Hugh Jackman Star

As a long-time fan of K-pop and avid gamer, I couldn’t help but be thrilled when I heard about Stray Kids’ latest single “Chk Chk Boom” featuring appearances from Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. This collaboration not only brings together two iconic superhero franchises, but it also showcases the unique talents of Stray Kids and their ability to connect with fans in unexpected ways.

Stray Kids from K-pop revealed their new song titled “Chk Chk Boom” with an impressive music video. Surprisingly, Hollywood stars Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, known for their roles as Wolverine and Deadpool in Marvel movies, made appearances. They are actually fans of the band and joined in on the production, which was previously hinted at this week.

The track, unveiled on July 19, serves as the main song promoting the mini-album ATE from Stray Kids. With ATE being their second output in 2024, it comes after the English single “Lose My Breath,” which teams up Stray Kids with acclaimed artist Charlie Puth.

In the beginning of the music video, Wolverine, played by Jackman, is seen checking the weather but grows restless. Suddenly, Ryan Reynolds appears on screen as himself to carry on with a fake news segment. Later in the scene, Reynolds puts on Deadpool’s costume without makeup and quips about joining the team. Instead of superhero action sequences, Stray Kids bring their signature high-energy performance to the cityscape.

As someone who has followed the entertaining world of entertainment closely for years, I can’t help but find the recent collaboration between Reynolds and the K-pop group an intriguing turn of events. But let me take you back a few years, to a time when the unexpected happened.

Besides these appearances, Stray Kids will add an original track named “Slash” to the forthcoming Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack, set to be released towards the end of this month.
