How to get the Wanderer Crest in Silksong

Silksong that alters Hornet’s attack patterns and overall gameplay style, giving players an optional enhancement to their experience.

Put simply, the Wanderer Crest mirrors the Reaper Crest in terms of its characteristics, but instead of delivering powerful, yet slower attacks, it opts for swift, rapid strikes. Although each hit from the Wanderer Crest deals less damage compared to the Reaper Crest, its speed makes Hornet more agile and adept at dodging enemies.

Heading into the gaming world, I’ve got my sights set on that coveted Wanderer Crest upgrade! But to claim it, I gotta brave the treacherous paths of the Wormways. Here are some tips for successfully navigating through:

t forget to bring some healing potions – they’ll be crucial!

2. Form a party: Join forces with other players if possible, as teamwork will make our journey through the Wormways more manageable and increase our chances of success.

4. Follow the map: Use the in-game map to navigate through the labyrinthine Wormways, and mark waypoints to help guide your path.

Where to find the Wanderer Crest

The Wanderer’s Crest can be obtained from the Wanderer Chapel, which is found in the initial region of Silksong, but it won’t be available right away. To reach it, you must first obtain the Drifter’s Cloak, which can be found at Far Fields by following the game’s storyline.

After securing your new upgrade, make your way back to Bone Bottom via Bellway. Ascend above the town until you find a row of cages suspended in the air. To cross them, utilize your Dash ability and Drifter’s Cloak, eventually reaching the western side of the canyon.

If you’re in the correct place, you should find an entrance to a new zone, the Wormways.

The Wormways refers to a compact area devoid of any bosses, but known for its pitch-black, cramped conditions, as well as being overrun by colossal worms, making movement particularly challenging.

To get to the Wanderer Chapel, you should walk through the southernmost entryway of Wormways and proceed towards the west. After walking past the initial gap in the floor, descend at the second one. Continue on this path till you come across the zone-break marker shown previously.

From now on, you’ll find yourself in the western part of Bone Bottom, beyond the eastern sewer drain that’s been sealed off. Be sure to venture this way first, as there’s a switch to be found here which, when flipped, will open up a shortcut. This shortcut will make it easier for you to reach both Bone Bottom town and Bench.

After completing that task, if you’re approaching from Bone Bottom Bench, just proceed westward as much as you can until you reach Wanderer Chapel. For your convenience, refer to the attached image for guidance.

Complete the Wanderer Chapel combat trial

Similar to the Reaper Chapel, your journey will lead through a compact, sequential labyrinth to get to a battle test. Upon entering the test chamber, prepare for multiple rounds of confrontations against various adversaries.

Win triumphantly, and the doors will automatically open, leading you into the secret heart where you can seize the Wanderer Crest as your prize.

Enthusiasts of the initial Hollow Knight game will probably appreciate this Crest, as it adopts the moveset of the original game’s main character in place of Hornet’s.

The Wanderer Crest, unlike Hunter and Reaper, doesn’t come with a blue tool slot pre-installed. Instead, it initially offers one red and two yellow slots. To expand your blue or red slots, you’ll need to find Memory Lockets within the game world.
