Tucker Carlson Says Donald Trump Has Been ‘Changed’ by Assassination Attempt

As a movie reviewer with a background in politics and media, I’ve had the privilege of observing the political landscape from various angles over the years. The recent developments surrounding former President Donald Trump and his vice presidential pick, J.D. Vance, have left me pondering the complexities of modern American politics.

At the Republican National Convention on Thursday, Tucker Carlson shared that former President Donald Trump has been noticeably different following the attempted assassination on his life.

At Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum, Carlson addressed the crowd and extolled Trump’s tenacity and strength. He also expressed the belief that some higher power had intervened to prevent a bullet from harming Trump during an incident on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania. There, at a campaign rally, a 20-year-old armed with a powerful rifle attacked Trump but only managed to give him a light wound to the ear.

“During that specific point in time, prior to the presidential election, Donald Trump took the helm of our country. To me, it was undeniable. And let me add, this shift seemed to affect him in some way.”

In April 2023, Fox News terminated Carlson’s contract due to a defamation lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems. This came during a costly legal battle where Fox News was accused of making false statements about Dominion, a tech company at the center of conspiracy theories surrounding the 2020 presidential election. Dominion took legal action against Fox News over comments made by Carlson and other hosts. At the time, Carlson was Fox News’ most popular personality. However, during the discovery process for this case, texts with racially insensitive remarks from Carlson were uncovered, leading to his removal from the network.

After being let go by Fox News, Carlson moved on to Elon Musk’s X as an alternative media platform. Although his public image has become less prominent, he continues to be highly regarded among conservative communities as a renowned figure.

I attended the RNC gathering and described Trump to my fellow supporters as a man with a warm and humorous demeanor. Furthermore, I expressed my approval of J.D. Vance, Ohio’s junior senator who Trump announced as his vice presidential pick on Monday. In my opinion, Trump has been unjustly maligned by the biased portrayal in mainstream media.

“Regarding Donald Trump, I’ve had the pleasure of knowing him personally and I find him to be the most amusing individual I’ve ever come across. Despite the various opinions about him, a truly funny person requires both perspective and empathy. Beyond his humor, Trump demonstrates genuine concern for people, as evidenced by his interest in our community.”

Regarding Vance, Carlson described him as a “completely admirable person” and a “personal acquaintance” whose views align well with those of Trump supporters.

“In my opinion, among all the politicians currently holding office in Washington D.C., JD Vance shares views more aligned with Trump’s supporters than anyone else. Consequently, some might argue that he deserves the title of vice president – and that’s the beauty of our democratic system.”

As a devoted film enthusiast, I can’t help but notice the dramatic shifts unfolding before my very eyes in this year’s presidential race. Only a few weeks ago, the scene took an unexpected turn when President Joe Biden faltered during his debate with Trump on CNN. The tension between them was palpable, leaving viewers stunned and questioning the outcome. And just days later, another shocking development unfolded – shots were fired at Trump’s motorcade in Pennsylvania on July 13th. These unforeseen events have left us all on the edge of our seats, eager to see how this cinematic tale unfolds.

As a devoted cinemagoer, I’ve been following the latest developments with great interest since the recent debate. The past month has brought some unusual twists and turns, especially that intriguing incident on Saturday in Butler. Frankly, it’s left me pondering – what on earth is going on here? It’s not just politics as we know it. There seems to be something much larger at play. And believe it or not, even those who don’t subscribe to the divine, might begin to question, could there be more to this than meets the eye?
