Having watched the official reveal trailer multiple times and read up on her abilities, I can’t help but be intrigued by this unique character.
For some time now, there have been rumors circulating that Overwatch 2 would welcome a fresh hero named “Space Ranger.” However, Blizzard has recently unveiled the true identity of this newcomer: her official name is Juno. Although classified as a Support character, Juno appears to offer more than just healing capabilities based on her reveal trailer.

In simple terms, the latest Support character introduced in Overwatch 2 through its YouTube Channel update and in-game release is named Juno. She shares some resemblance with Mei as they both use a gun-like weapon, but unlike Mei, Juno’s pistol fires healing orbs for allies while damaging enemies with its primary fire, which is reminiscent of Ana’s abilities.
In the trailer, you get a glimpse of some of her capabilities, although the details of each power remain unclear. What we do know is that her Mediblaster gun can either heal or harm based on its target.
As a long-time Overwatch player, I’ve seen my fair share of heroes and their unique abilities. Her Glide Boost, reminiscent of a limited flight or just a floaty jump, instantly brings me back to my first encounter with D.Va.
