Their diverse backgrounds and impressive résumés add layers of intrigue to this already captivating project.

Exclusively obtained by EbMaster, the Amazon horror comedy pilot “The Nightbeast” has announced the addition of three new regular cast members to its production.

Cory Michael Smith, Michael Dorman, and Miles Marthaller join Tatiana Maslany as prominent cast members in the pilot production.

Maslany will portray the role of Amy, a young mom who feels unfulfilled with her seemingly idyllic suburban existence. To add spice to her monotonous life, she embarks on an affair with an enigmatic figure lurking in her son’s closet – an alluring stranger known as the Nightbeast. Initially, she believes this clandestine relationship is merely a product of her vivid imagination. However, things take an unexpected turn when her secretive encounters start interfering with her everyday life, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy in this enticing, dark comedy.

Smith takes on the role of the Nightbeast in the title. Dorman is cast as Eric, Amy’s spouse, and Marthaller portrays their son Miles.

Smith is most recognized for portraying the famous antagonist The Riddler in the Fox show “Gotham,” where he featured prominently during its five-season span. He has completed filming for “SNL 1975,” where he takes on the role of Chevy Chase. His other cinematic appearances include “May December,” “First Man,” and “Winderstruck.” On television, you can find him in shows such as “Transatlantic” on Netflix and Amazon’s “Utopia.”

Most recently, Dorman has appeared in the leading role of “Joe Pickett” in the Paramount+ series by the same name. He has also graced shows like “Patriot” on Amazon Prime and “For All Mankind” on Apple TV+. In film, his work includes collaborations with Elisabeth Moss in “The Invisible Man” and Russell Crowe in “The Water Diviner.”

Dorman is repped by Verve, Entertainment 360, and Nathan Culliver Management.

At the age of two, Marthaller began his acting career with a role in a local advertisement campaign in Canada. Before that, he made a brief appearance on “The Good Doctor,” which airs on ABC. Additionally, he has featured in the Hallmark movie titled “Round and Round.” Upcoming projects for Marthaller include another Hallmark film called “Three Wiser Men and a Boy.”

Marthaller is repped by Trisko Talent Management Inc.
