As a follower of the dynamic world of television production, I’m thrilled to witness the latest moves made by Wheelhouse Entertainment. The recent appointments of Whitney White and Liz Fine to executive roles within the company are not only significant for their professional growth but also for the impact they will have on the food and lifestyle division (Butternut) and Wheelhouse as a whole.
Brent Montgomery’s production company, Wheelhouse Entertainment, has appointed Whitney White as the new executive vice president of development for its food and lifestyle division Butternut. Additionally, Liz Fine has been promoted to the role of executive vice president of programming within Wheelhouse Entertainment itself.
After announcing the launch of its new crime and investigative brand, Twist, and securing a minority investment from Alignment Growth, Wheelhouse has made some new appointments to its leadership team.
As a movie reviewer, I’d say: In the bustling world of Butternut, under the leadership of President Courtney White, I’ll be taking on an exciting new role. My responsibility will be to spearhead and develop intellectual property in the food, home, and lifestyle sectors, collaborating with both established and up-and-coming talents.
Whitney White, who made a name for herself as the head of development at Ping Pong Productions and is now famously known for producing TLC’s successful show “Dr. Pimple Popper,” previously held the position of executive vice president at Woodman Park Productions, which is supported by All3Media. Her past projects include Discovery+’s “Battle of the Brothers” and Food Network’s versions of this show, TLC’s “Crack Addicts,” ID’s “Man With A Van,” and Snapchat’s “Deep Creek.”
Lately, I’ve had the pleasure of serving as Senior Vice President of Programming for Spoke Studios and Butternut. I made the exciting transition to Wheelhouse Productions in 2021, where I currently work as an executive producer. At Wheelhouse, I’ve been fortunate enough to contribute my producing skills to a variety of projects, including Netflix’s “Buying Beverly Hills,” Hulu’s “Bianca & Montez: Love & WWE,” and the intriguing series “Secret Chef.” I’m also thrilled to be part of the team bringing “Got To Get Out” to life on Netflix, as well as ID’s recent premiere, “Bodies in the Water.”
Before joining Wheelhouse, Fine held the position of senior vice president in charge of original series at both VH1 and MTV. Previously, she served as the vice president of programming and development for FYI.
White and Fine will collaborate closely with the production teams of Wheelhouse Entertainment’s various labels – Spoke Studios, Butternut, DNA, Twist, and Wheelhouse UK – in their new positions.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m always on the lookout for talented individuals who can bring unique perspectives and skills to the table. At Wheelhouse, we prioritize bringing together creative specialists with diverse backgrounds and expertise in various genres. What sets our team apart is not only their individual strengths but also their willingness and ability to collaborate effectively with one another. Together, we create magic that transcends the sum of our parts.
I strongly believe that collaboration and teamwork are key elements for success in today’s fast-evolving industry. From my own experiences, I’ve seen how working closely with colleagues and partners has not only enhanced our creative processes but also fueled our ambitions. Courtney White’s statement resonates deeply with me as I’ve had the pleasure of working with Whitney and Liz, who truly embody this strategy. Their dedication, creativity, and positive energy make them an absolute joy to work with on a daily basis.
