‘Frasier’ Revival Sets Season 2 Premiere Date at Paramount+

As a longtime fan of “Frasier,” I’m thrilled to hear that the beloved sitcom is returning for a second season on Paramount+. The news of the premiere date, which is set for Sept. 19, brings back fond memories of the golden age of television when shows like “Frasier” ruled the airwaves.

Season 2 of the “Frasier” revival has set its premiere date at Paramount+.

Beginning September 19, the latest installment of Kelsey Grammer’s series will debut with its first two episodes. Subsequently, new episodes will be released every Thursday in the U.S. and Canada exclusively on Paramount+. The show will become accessible internationally on Paramount+ at a later point in time.

Dr. Frasier Crane will be back, joined by new actors portraying his roles: Jack Cutmore-Scott as his son, Frasier junior (or Freddy); Nicholas Lyndhurst as Alan, an old college friend now a university professor; Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Alan’s colleague and head of the psychology department; and Jess Salgueiro as Eve, their neighbor; while Anders Keith takes on the part of Frasier’s nephew, David.

I’m excited to share that Peri Gilpin will be back on the scene, reprising her role as Roz Doyle in a recurring guest spot. Moreover, some other talented artists have joined our cast for episodes: Rachel Bloom, Yvette Nicole Brown, Greer Grammer, Patricia Heaton, and Amy Sedaris. In one particular episode, Frasier will make his way back to KACL in Seattle. During this visit, we’ll see Dan Butler as Bulldog Briscoe, Edward Hibbert as Gil Chesterton, and Harriet Sansom Harris as Bebe Glazer.

The announcement about the show’s premiere follows news that its first season has earned three Emmy nominations: for exceptional production design in a half-hour narrative program, impressive cinematography in a half-hour multi-camera series, and superior picture editing in a multi-camera series.

Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, who are the writers behind it, are also the executive producers of this revival. Graham, Tom Russo, and Jordan McMahon from Grammnet NH Productions are additional executive producers. James Burrows will once again take on the director’s role for two episodes in Season 2. CBS Studios produces the series in collaboration with Grammnet NH Productions. Paramount Global Content Distribution handles distribution outside of the Paramount+ markets.
