There won’t be a new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight, so fans will have to wait to see Connor Storrie host for the first time. The show is famous for featuring popular celebrities and musicians each week. This season, Saturday Night Live has already welcomed stars like Olivia Dean, Amy Poehler, Sabrina Carpenter, Cher, and Teyana Taylor.
Following the celebration of its 50th season, Saturday Night Live has seen several cast members depart. Before season 51 begins, Heidi Gardner, Ego Nwodim, Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, and Michael Longfellow will be leaving the show. Bowen Yang also departed during the recent season. To refresh the cast, season 51 will welcome new members Tommy Brennan, Kam Patterson, Veronika Slowikowska, and Ben Marshall.
Why There’s No New Saturday Night Live Episode Tonight, February 14, 2026
If you’re a fan of Saturday Night Live, you might be surprised tonight, February 14, 2026, to find it’s not on at its usual time. NBC is skipping the new episode, season 51, episode 13, for the second week in a row because they’re broadcasting the 2026 Winter Olympics from Milan. The Olympics coverage begins at 11:30 PM Eastern Time and will run until 1:00 AM ET.
It’s not just SNL that’s been affected by the major sporting event happening now. Several other NBC shows, including the entire One Chicago franchise – Chicago Fire season 14, Chicago PD season 13, and Chicago Med season 11 – are taking a break to make room for the special Olympic coverage. Other networks, like ABC, are also temporarily replacing their usual programs because of the Winter Olympics.
When SNL Returns With Connor Storrie As The Host
NBC has announced that Saturday Night Live will be back on February 28, 2026, at its regular time. Episode 13 of season 51 will feature Connor Storrie, known for his role in Heated Rivalry, as the host, with Mumford & Sons performing as the musical guest at Studio 8H.
The next episode of SNL doesn’t air for a couple of weeks, so there haven’t been any promotional clips released yet. These are typically filmed during the week before the show, alongside sketch writing and rehearsals. It’s interesting to wonder if SNL will create a parody based on Drew Storrie’s popular ‘Heated Rivalry’ series, or if they’ll go in a completely different direction. We’ll find out either way before the month is over.
