‘Fire Country’ Sets Netflix Debut: Season 1 to Stream in August Just Before Season 3’s CBS Premiere

As a movie buff with a deep appreciation for well-crafted procedurals and character-driven stories, I couldn’t be more excited about the expansion of “Fire Country” into new territories. Having grown up on shows like “Law & Order” and “CSI,” I’ve come to cherish the intricacies of small town mysteries and the complex relationships between characters that these types of series often explore.

Starting August 1 in the US, you can find the first season of “Fire Country,” a popular firefighter series from CBS, on Netflix for streaming. Seasons 1 and 2 are already accessible on Paramount+, while Season 3 will premiere on CBS on October 18.

In the “Fire Country” universe, there’s an upcoming expansion with a new series called “Sheriff Country.” Debuting in the 2025-2026 television schedule, this show will put the focus on law enforcement and stars Morena Baccarin as its leader.

“Tony Phelan, executive producer and co-creator, shared with EbMaster that our goal has been to provide a deeper look into Edgewater, its community, and the connections between townspeople and our characters. It’s as if we’re broadening our focus a tad.”

I wasn’t initially intending to support procedural franchises, but it’s become clear that they have an impressive track record of success.

Phelan explains, “The appeal of this quaint town and its residents inspires numerous tales. As for possible spins-offs, we’ll take it one year at a time. Our intention is not to exploit the show without being deeply invested in its essence. We need to ensure there are enough compelling stories for 22 episodes per season to expand the franchise. Moreover, we want these characters to engage with each other meaningfully but not live in isolation.”
