After over a year of negotiations, emails, and texts – a period long enough to cover a full Taylor Swift album release – Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively recently appeared in court in Manhattan on February 11th, and surprisingly wore coordinating green and pink outfits. These colors were notably used in the promotional materials for the film It Ends With Us. While the matching looks sparked speculation about a possible settlement, the legal battle ultimately didn’t end on Wednesday, as many expected. The situation remains unresolved.
Jason Lively and Blake Baldoni recently attended a court-ordered meeting to explore a possible settlement in their legal dispute. Baldoni arrived with his wife, cheerfully posing for photographers. Lively appeared alone, dressed in a professional suit and appearing more somber. According to Variety, their lawyer, Bryan Freedman, stated that no settlement was reached during the meeting, though future negotiations are still possible. Baldoni’s legal team has also asked the judge to dismiss Lively’s claims, which could end the case altogether. However, if things remain as they are, the case is still on track for a trial in May. Freedman indicated they are prepared to proceed to trial, stating, “We’re looking forward to it.”
