Okay, so I’m really into Arc Raiders, and one thing that always gets me is just how huge the maps are! You’re constantly sprinting between buildings, always feeling like those ARC machines are watching you. Seriously, whether you’re running around massive dams or abandoned outposts, the last thing you want to be doing is stopping to organize your gear out in the open – it’s way too dangerous!
Stella Montis is the opposite of expansive. This map is small and features a maze of narrow corridors with very little room to move. Though the automated robots (ARC) aren’t as prevalent here, you can expect plenty of player activity. Everywhere you go, other players will be ready to react, looking for any excuse to start a fight.
Quests like “On Deaf Ears” can be really tough and even risky. Let’s break down this quest and figure out how to complete it without getting defeated by other players.
Quest Prerequisites

To start the On Deaf Ears quest, you must first finish the “Groundbreaking” quest, which Apollo gives you at Blue Gate.
Although it looks like completing this is all you need to do, the quest doesn’t always pop up immediately. I personally had to fully exit and restart ARC Raiders for it to show up.
This quest takes place all over Stella Montis, so you’ll definitely encounter other players. If you prefer to play without player-versus-player combat, use the emote wheel or your comms to avoid misunderstandings and have a better experience.
If you like player-versus-player combat, be sure to equip a strong shield, such as a Sticher, Il Toro, or Tempest, for protection. On maps like Stella, players often try to eliminate others quickly, so stay aware of your surroundings while completing quests.
Fortunately, you don’t have to complete this quest all at once. If you prefer a relaxed pace, you can choose a pre-set loadout and complete one goal at a time.
Walkthrough
Start by going to the main Lobby area and taking the elevator down to the ground floor (also known as the First Floor). In the northeast corner, right past security, you’ll find a small kiosk. Inside, there’s a computer you can use to send data to Lance.
Be cautious when entering this area, as it’s typically full of ground-based ARC units and Wasps. It’s best to eliminate them before proceeding.
Now, go up and to the southeast towards the Business Centre. Inside, you’ll find a large auditorium. Go to the desk at the front – there’s another computer there you can use to transmit your data.
Okay, so these ARC Shredders are everywhere. Seriously, they’re super annoying and make it hard to concentrate on what you’re trying to do with one buzzing around. If you get hit by their shrapnel blast, it really hurts – a lot of damage. Plus, there are tons of Fireball enemies, so my advice is to clear them out before even thinking about tackling this objective. Trust me, you’ll thank me later!
Sometimes a supply of weapons appears in this area, so it’s best to come back later, after the first rush of players has finished fighting over them.
After you submit the information, your next goal is located on the opposite side of the map, in the Medical Research Wing. The quickest route is to go through the main lobby and then follow the Central Corridor, which will take you to the Assembly area and finally to the Medical Wing.
I quickly found a computer in the first room, leading me to believe you can use any computer in the rooms to finish this part of the quest. If you’re having trouble locating one, check the spot I’ve marked on the map to submit your data.
The medical bay is a great place to find valuable loot. You’ll often need items from Stella Montis for quests, such as the Flow Controller and Ion Sputter. It’s also a good location for salvaging materials and making a profit.
Lastly, you’ll need to collect the physical reports. You won’t be sending any data electronically. Go north from the Medical Research Area to the Assembly, then continue upwards to the Assembly Workshops.
You can find the papers in one of the upstairs rooms of the Workshop – specifically, the second room on the east side. Go up the metal stairs and enter the small office. The reports you need are stacked on the desk in the southeast corner of the room. Simply interact with them to finish the quest.
You have two options: return to the Lobby and take the metro to Speranza, or, if you have a key and a lot of items, you can exit to the east by going down the stairs.
Quest Rewards
After finishing this quest, you’ll be able to start the next one in the series. This next quest, called “On the Map,” is given by Lance and takes place at Spaceport; it involves finding Hearing Aids.
In addition, you will be granted the following rewards for your efforts:
- 1× Navy Blue (Warden Outfit)
- 3× Lure Grenade
- 5× Noisemaker
- 1× Shaker
You can find your new skin color in the Raider tab. Just go to the Customization section to see all your outfits, including the new color.
These other items are useful for creating distractions to help you deal with ARC units. But if you prefer a fast-paced, explosive playstyle, you can always sell them for a good profit.
Great job completing Stella Montis and keeping your wits about you! We’ll see you on the next adventure, Raider!
