Apple TV is significantly increasing its investment in the show Severance. Previously, Fifth Season produced the first two seasons for Apple TV, but now Apple is bringing production under its own roof. According to Deadline, Apple has purchased the rights to the Severance story and characters for almost $70 million.
Season 2 of Severance broke viewership records for Apple TV+, and the network is hoping to build on that momentum. Production for Season 3 is starting shortly, and Apple is already looking ahead to Season 4 and beyond. They also plan to create more content within the Severance world, potentially including prequel stories, spin-off series, and versions of the show made for different countries.
