MercurySteam’s Blades of Fire is coming to Steam on May 14 with Steam Deck support, 2.0 update revealed

505 Games and MercurySteam announced that Blades of Fire will launch on Steam – with full support for the Steam Deck – on May 14th. The launch will coincide with a major update (version 2.0) for the game on all platforms.

Blades of Fire was originally released last year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC through the Epic Games Store. Now, it’s coming to Steam with several enhancements, including DLSS 4, a New Game Plus mode, a challenging Titanium difficulty level, new items for New Game Plus, and a photo mode. A demo is available on Steam now, and your progress in the demo will transfer to the full game when it launches.

I’m super hyped! 505 Games and MercurySteam just announced that Blades of Fire is coming to Steam on May 14th! And it’s not just the same old game – they’ve added a bunch of updates and new content, so it’s going to be a fresh experience.

You are Aran de Lira, the final warrior who can still craft real steel in a world where metal quickly turns to stone. To survive, you’ll need to be patient, learn how things work, and truly master the weapons you create.

Battles are strategic, impactful, and don’t offer second chances. Every weapon is carefully crafted and uniquely altered by how you use it. Success depends on knowing your opponent and mastering the weapon you’ve created to fight them.

Designed for players who value atmosphere, challenge, and consequence over speed and spectacle.

To mark the Steam announcement, a demo is now available as part of Steam Next Fest! This demo lets you play the first chapter of the game, where you can craft weapons, try out the combat, meet a troll, and get a taste of Aran’s story.

You can now download a demo of the game on Steam! Plus, any progress you make in the demo will automatically transfer to the full game when you save.
