The first episode of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 is coming soon, much like Godzilla approaching a city! It’s been over two years since the show originally premiered on Apple TV, and fans are ready for another round of Titan-sized trouble.
The first season of the MonsterVerse series delved into the origins of the organization that studies monsters – including Godzilla – and works to stop events similar to those in films like Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla vs. Kong, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
The story unfolds across two different time periods, following siblings Cate and Kentaro as they search for their father and learn he’s involved with the organization Monarch. Kurt Russell and his son, Wyatt Russell, both star as Col. Lee Shaw – Kurt in the present day and Wyatt in flashbacks to the 1950s.
Season two begins on Skull Island right after the events of the first season, with the team uncovering more of the island’s hidden mysteries. They’ll also face a frightening new threat: a massive monster named Titan X that rises from the ocean.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 Episode 1 release date & time
The first episode of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 will begin streaming on Apple TV on Friday, February 27th at 12 AM Pacific Time / 3 AM Eastern Time. New episodes will be released every week, with the season concluding on May 1st.

How many episodes are there?
I’m so excited for Season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters! It’s going to have 10 episodes, just like the first season, which is great. And get this – both Godzilla and Kong are going to be in it! I’m really hoping they don’t spend the whole season with them just battling for the spotlight. But even if they don’t, they’ve got a huge threat to deal with: this monster called Titan X, apparently a real ‘living cataclysm’!
The season’s preview hints at how dangerous the new creature will be: “When its huge, glowing body rises from the ocean, the world appears to stop and wait.”
