Avengers: Doomsday Merch Reveals ‘Team Doom’

Official merchandise for the upcoming Marvel movie, Avengers: Doomsday, hints that Doctor Doom will lead his own team, called “Team Doom.” A recent promotional video revealed the story will divide characters into six groups: the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Wakandans, Thunderbolts (New Avengers), and Doctor Doom’s team. Although early looks suggested Doom was acting alone, the merchandise indicates he’ll have allies, making him an even bigger threat to the heroes in Doomsday.

Doom Archive on X shared a picture of official merchandise from the Avengers: Doomsday event at Pinewood Studios’ Future Festivals. The image gives a clear view of a Team Doom cap.

A newly released bottle cap features Doctor Doom as an animated character, and appears to show him gathering a team. The design of Doom’s costume on the cap is very similar to the official look that was unveiled at a Disney event in May 2025.

A yellow burst of energy appeared behind Doctor Doom, hinting that his magical abilities will be a key part of his conflict with the Avengers in a future Marvel movie. Some merchandise released in December 2025 showed Doom stepping out of a purple portal, possibly offering a first glimpse of his powers.

Directed by the Russo Brothers, Avengers: Doomsday will feature Doctor Doom enacting a dangerous plan that threatens the entire Multiverse, secretly manipulating events to achieve his goals. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 18, 2026.

Who Is Part of Doctor Doom’s Team in Avengers: Doomsday?

If Doctor Doom forms a team in Avengers: Doomsday, it would make him an even bigger and more dangerous threat across the multiverse, creating serious problems for the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four. He’s already incredibly powerful on his own, but with allies, he could cause even more widespread chaos across different realities.

It’s possible we could see a number of Marvel characters, both heroes and villains, join Doctor Doom’s team.

Early reports hinted that Peggy Carter might join forces with Doctor Doom, a possibility that seemed more likely after the trailer for Doomsday revealed Steve Rogers’ return. While it’s unclear why Peggy would side with Doom, one theory is that she was tricked into helping him to safeguard her family.

Doctor Strange and Clea, who appeared in a scene after the credits of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, could also join Team Doom. This idea fits well with the story, as Doom is already skilled in magic by the time of Doomsday, and he might have learned from Strange or Clea at some point.

Some fans believe Namor, the character from the main Marvel universe (Earth-616), might team up with Doctor Doom. This could happen if Doom promises to help Namor rebuild the lost greatness of his underwater kingdom, Talokan.

One idea is that we might see evil versions of familiar heroes and villains from our main universe (Earth-616) appear, like Captain Hydra, King Thanos, and Maestro Hulk. While it sounds a bit wild, the Multiverse allows for anything to happen.
