Tom Hiddleston’s Hit Spy Thriller Sets A BBC Record After Long-Awaited 10-Year Return

Tom Hiddleston is having a very busy 2026 with a lot of exciting projects. He’s reprising a popular role after a long break, and the BBC is bringing back one of his most acclaimed performances.

According to RadioTimes.com, the premiere of The Night Manager season 2 drew 8.7 million viewers in its first 28 days, making it the BBC’s most popular drama since season 2 of Vigil in 2023. The new season, which returned after a ten-year break, aired from January 1st and concluded on February 1st, 2026.

Season two of The Night Manager is receiving positive reviews, currently holding a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 48 reviews. It also has a 62% score on Popcornmeter. These ratings could shift as more people discuss the recently concluded season.

I’m so excited about the new season! They’ve added a ton of amazing actors to the cast, including Camila Morrone, Diego Calva, Hayley Squires, Paul Chahidi, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Indira Varma, Unax Ugalde, Slavko Sobin, Alberto Ammann, Cristina Umaña Rojas, and Diego Santos. And the best news? They’ve already greenlit season 3 of The Night Manager after that fantastic season 2 finale! I can’t wait!

As much as I’m eagerly awaiting it, there’s no confirmed release date for The Night Manager season 3 just yet. From what I understand, they haven’t even begun production on the new season, which is a little disappointing, but I’m still holding out hope!

Catch The Night Manager season 2 on BBC and Prime Video.
