Monster Hunter Wilds large-scale expansion in development; version 1.041 update launches February 18

Capcom has announced that a major expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds is currently in the works, with details coming this summer. A new update, version 1.041, will be released on February 18th and will include several additions: Arch-tempered Arkveld, extremely challenging 10-star Arch Tempered Monsters, and special Event Quests. The update also features a crossover with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, designs for weapons and pendants chosen from a fan contest, and an event to mark the game’s first anniversary.

The team is working on a major expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds, similar in scope to the Iceborne and Sunbreak expansions for previous Monster Hunter games, Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced in a video. They plan to reveal more details this summer, so fans should stay tuned.
