Asmongold reveals girls only started talking to him when he became a popular streamer

Twitch streamer Asmongold discussed the trend of “looksmaxxing” – popularized by figures like Clavicular – and reflected on how women perceived him before he gained popularity.

Asmongold is famous for not prioritizing his appearance, often going for extended periods without showering and becoming well-known for his famously cluttered room.

He often shares details about his unhealthy habits, especially his diet of mostly fast food and soda.

It seems Asmon didn’t have much success with relationships earlier in his life. He’s shared that women only began showing interest after he gained popularity as a streamer.

Asmongold says girls wouldn’t talk to him because he’s a “really ugly guy”

A clip from streamer Asmongold’s show recently went viral. In it, he was talking about “looksmaxxing,” a slang term for trying to improve your physical appearance as much as possible.

Asmongold feels that despite any self-improvement efforts, he believes his appearance prevents him from truly progressing.

I’m not happy with my appearance. What you see on camera right now is me at my best, but even then, people often leave negative comments online, saying I look terrible. I just feel like I’ve had bad luck with how I turned out.

Popular streamer Asmongold claims he wasn’t approached by women before gaining fame because of his appearance. He believes that achieving a high social status is more important for men than focusing on physical attractiveness.

He recalled being largely ignored by girls in high school and college, but noted that this changed once he achieved fame.

Whenever I interact with a girl, it feels like people assume it’s happening because of my popularity as a streamer. I don’t always see that as a negative thing, though.

He explained that he could style his hair in many different ways, but it wouldn’t actually change his overall appearance.

Asmongold has explained his lifestyle choices, saying he prefers to live in a somewhat messy house and clean it himself, rather than hire help like some other streamers. He jokingly calls this approach being a “real American.”
