‘The Batman’ Star Robert Pattinson Made Ambient Electronic Music in Full Costume

Robert Pattinson is a major actor right now, and he has a busy year ahead. He’s starring in two large-scale films – The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three – plus a romantic comedy called The Drama with Zendaya, and a heist movie titled Here Comes the Flood. He even has a quick cameo in Marty Supreme alongside Timothée Chalamet.

Becoming a father has given me a huge boost of energy,” Pattinson recently told GQ. He explained that he felt a sudden, overwhelming need to be productive. “It’s like, I need to build something amazing! I don’t know why, but I have this incredible drive to work harder than ever before.”

Robert Pattinson is a talented musician, playing both guitar and piano. He even contributed vocals to two songs on the Twilight soundtrack, “Let Me Sign” and “Never Think.” He found a way to pursue this passion while filming The Batman, spending his breaks creating ambient electronic music. He described working in a tent on set, wearing headphones under the Batman cowl and using a music production controller while vaping, fully embracing the atmosphere.

It was a struggle to put the hood on, and even harder to take it off, but I managed to get my headphones over it. For a moment, I almost gave up. But I realized you can’t try to be all things to all people – you have to choose who you want to be.

If Pattinson ever does decide to release this music, the album cover creates itself.

Robert Pattinson Says Working on ‘The Odyssey’ and ‘Dune 3’ Was “Unbelievable”

Many actors also pursue music careers, such as Jamie Foxx and Jared Leto. However, Robert Pattinson worries about how releasing his own music might affect his image. He’s recorded some songs, but he’s hesitant because it’s hard to judge the quality, and the potential embarrassment of negative reviews is high. He explained, “It would be awful to announce you’ve made music, and then people think it’s terrible.”

Honestly, as a film fan, I’m really excited about The Odyssey, which is coming out on July 17th – it’s one of the most talked-about movies of the year! I’ve been following all the details, and it sounds incredible. Robert Pattinson plays Antinous, one of the suitors trying to win over Penelope (played by Anne Hathaway) while Odysseus (Matt Damon) is off having adventures. Pattinson’s been pretty tight-lipped about it – he joked he’d get in trouble just talking about it! But he did say it was an unbelievable experience, and even managed to reveal one tiny detail: he saw a sheep! Apparently, even that was pushing it. It just makes me even more eager to see what director William Auberlen has created.

Robert Pattinson didn’t reveal much about Dune: Part Three, scheduled for release on December 18th, keeping his role a secret, though fans have some good ideas about what it might be. He described his experience working on the Dune films as unique and incredible, saying he felt like he was participating in events few people ever will. He recalled filming his first scene with Zendaya in the desert, feeling the full weight of being part of the Dune universe. While it seemed obvious to him that they were making a Dune movie, Zendaya playfully pointed out the obvious. He emphasized how genuinely immersive and enjoyable the whole experience was.

Plus, The Batman: Part II is scheduled to be released on October 1, 2027, with filming beginning this spring. It remains to be seen if returning as Batman will inspire Pattinson to sing again, as he did in The Batman.
