Disney’s $1.7 Billion Box Office Smash Hit Will Finally Be Available To Watch At Home Very Soon

Following a hugely successful run in theaters, earning over $1.7 billion worldwide and winning praise from critics, Zootopia 2 is now available to stream and rent at home.

The animated sequel to Disney’s Zootopia teams up police partners Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they investigate a new mystery involving a character named Gary De’Snake. Released on November 26th, Zootopia 2 became the highest-grossing animated film ever made, the ninth highest-grossing movie of all time, and one of only five Walt Disney Studios animated films to earn over $1 billion worldwide.

You’ll be able to buy or rent Zootopia 2 on digital platforms like Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home starting January 27th. Then, on March 3rd, it will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. The release includes special extras like a look inside Walt Disney Animation Studios, behind-the-scenes footage, a feature on Shakira’s music, and deleted scenes.

Beyond its huge success at the box office, Zootopia 2 has been widely praised by critics. Molly Freeman of ScreenRant highlighted that the sequel successfully expanded on the original while still capturing its emotional core, calling it a clever and engaging mystery with humor that appeals to all ages. The film boasts a 91% critics’ score and a 96% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, earning it a “Certified Fresh” and “Verified Hot” rating. It was also nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Academy Awards this year, making it one of only five films to receive that honor.

The voice cast of Zootopia 2 features Kate Goodwin as Judy, Jason Bateman as Nick, and Ke Huy Quan as Gary.
