Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Anime Remake Officially Confirms Fall 2026 Release

The rumored anime remake was finally confirmed for a fall 2026 release.

A new version of the Dragon Ball Super story arc featuring Beerus – originally based on the 2013 film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods – was announced at the Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event. This event celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Dragon Ball franchise and took place in Japan on January 25, 2026.

When the exciting news was finally revealed, veteran voice actor Masako Nozawa (who voices Goku) and Akio Iyoku, a producer on Dragon Ball, were there. Koichi Yamadera, the voice of Beerus in the Japanese version, also joined them for the announcement, which concerned an upcoming remake.
