Lisa Rinna Feels ‘Horrible’ for Colton Underwood’s Traitors Backlash

Lisa Rinna is asking fans to be kinder to the cast of The Traitors. On Instagram Stories, Rinna shares her regret for bringing her A+ Housewives sass to social media against her enemy, Colton Underwood. “It’s come to my attention that my post that I responded to in my housewife mode is taking on a life of its own, and it’s causing real problems for Colton,” Rinna began. “I do not want this, because Colton and I are great. He was a great and is a great nemesis for me on the show, in the game. Now, as you know, if you asked me to be a housewife, I’ll bring it to you, right? That’s what I was doing, all in the name of the game.” One day ago, Rinna responded to a fan’s screenshot with a diss to Underwood: “Let’s talk about you being a stalker….”, referencing the restraining order Underwood’s ex, Cassie Randolph, filed against him in 2020.

Rinna explained that she and Colton Underwood are friends and she’s happy for him. She felt bad about the negative reaction, emphasizing she doesn’t want to upset anyone. She’s just trying to enjoy the show and sees Colton as a fun competitor. She asked viewers to be understanding, reminding everyone it’s a game and a TV show, and pleaded with them not to send harmful or threatening messages, especially towards families.

On Saturday, the official social media accounts for the show Traitors asked viewers to stop harassing the cast. The show explained that while it’s fine to discuss the game, targeting individual cast members with negativity and personal attacks is unacceptable. They emphasized that the cast are real people and don’t deserve to be cyberbullied. This message is similar to one shared by Peacock’s Love Island USA last summer, after its cast members received death threats and harassment.
