The Jurassic Park films have been a major part of popular culture since the original premiered in 1993. The franchise recently continued with Jurassic World Rebirth, now available on Peacock. This new installment could have launched another series of movies following the conclusion of Dominion, and would have starred Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey. However, many wondered if Chris Pratt would reprise his role as Owen Grady in any future films. Here’s what Pratt had to say about it.
Chris Pratt has been focusing on big franchise films recently, notably his role as Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which you can watch on Disney+. Some fans have jokingly suggested a team-up between Pratt and fellow Marvel actor Scarlett Johansson in a Jurassic World movie. When asked directly on the Happy Sad Confused podcast if he’d consider appearing in a fourth Jurassic World film, Pratt responded with:
I believe it would be amazing. We’d simply need to ensure it stays true to the spirit of the original stories we’ve already told.
Can you hear that excitement? Jurassic Park fans are thrilled! The idea of Chris Pratt and Scarlett Johansson teaming up for another movie in the franchise is amazing, and it seems Pratt would be willing to return as Owen Grady – as long as the new story does justice to the previous three films. That seems like a fair request.
As a huge movie fan, I remember when Jurassic World really launched Chris Pratt into leading man territory – he’s consistently delivered action hits ever since! It was fun seeing him team up with the original Jurassic Park cast in Dominion, but honestly, I’m really hoping we get a sequel to Rebirth with him and Scarlett Johansson together. That would be amazing!

You can stream the Jurassic World movies on Peacock, with plans starting at $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. For an ad-free experience and the ability to download shows and movies to watch offline, consider upgrading to Peacock Premium or Peacock Premium Plus. See the deal here.
Jurassic World Rebirth was a box office success, becoming the sixth highest-grossing film of 2025. With a strong cast led by Jonathan Bailey, considered one of the sexiest men alive, it’s not surprising Universal might want to make another movie. However, as of today, the studio hasn’t officially announced a sequel.
Now that Chris Pratt has finished with the Guardians of the Galaxy films, he may have more time to return for another Jurassic World movie. Although Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 suggested Star-Lord would appear in future Marvel films, there’s no word on when that might be. Sadly, he wasn’t listed among the cast for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.
