The major 3.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is here, bringing lots of fresh content to the game after a long wait. Along with a new area on your island and a hotel run by Kapp’n’s family, the update includes plenty of new items – even furniture inspired by Splatoon! But you’ll need to unlock these items before they appear in your catalog.

How To Unlock Splatoon Furniture
Similar to the recent Zelda items, the new furniture in Splatoon is first available by using Amiibo figures. Luckily, the game works with any Splatoon Amiibo that has been released, and you only need to scan one to unlock the entire collection.
To use a Splatoon Amiibo in the game, go to the Nook Stop terminal in Resident Services. Choose “Invite a Camper” and then hold your Amiibo figure near the terminal when asked. If your campsite is full, you can still use the Amiibo at Brewster’s cafe, the Roost, by using the Amiibo phone to invite the character there instead.
Once you scan the figure in the game, Splatoon-themed furniture will become available for purchase in Nook Shopping. You can access Nook Shopping through the Nook Stop terminal or the app on your Nook Phone. You’ll find the complete Splatoon set under the ‘Promotional’ tab, alongside any Zelda items you’ve already unlocked and the new Lego furniture.
