There Will Be Quite The Sideline Shuffle In Madden NFL 27

This year’s edition of Madden NFL will feature nine new head coaches across the league’s 32 teams. While some, like John Harbaugh (now with the New York Giants after leaving the Baltimore Ravens), aren’t entirely new to the game, a significant number of these coaches will be leading a team for the first time. With so many open positions, over a third of the league will have a new face on the sidelines.

The latest Madden NFL games now include features that let your team’s coach impact how you play, thanks to things like Coach DNA and Coach Speak. Each coach also has their own unique play style. This means if you’re a fan of a team like the Ravens or Steelers – especially now that Mike Tomlin has moved on – you’ll notice big changes in Madden NFL 27 with their new coach. Both Harbaugh and Tomlin were long-time NFL coaches, having led their teams since 2008 and 2007, respectively.

Here are all of the NFL teams that will have a new coach in Madden NFL 27:

  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Pittsburgh Steelers
  • New York Giants – John Harbaugh
  • Atlanta Falcons
  • Tennessee Titans
  • Las Vegas Raiders
  • Arizona Cardinals
  • Miami Dolphins
  • Cleveland Browns

We haven’t heard an official announcement about Madden NFL 27 yet. EA Sports hasn’t followed a consistent schedule for revealing new versions of the game. They revealed Madden NFL 26 in April 2025, along with College Football 26, but waited until May 2024 to announce Madden NFL 25.

It’s highly likely that Madden NFL 27 will be released in August. The game has come out every August for the past ten years.
