EA FC 26 has launched, and players are already getting started – some by using a workaround with New Zealand accounts, and others through the EA Play service. But those using EA Play are encountering an error that’s stopping them from playing.
Players with EA Play or EA Pro memberships got to start playing the game and building their Ultimate Team earlier than everyone else. Depending on your location, early access began at midnight in New Zealand (5 AM Pacific Time or 1 PM British Summer Time).
Many PC gamers eager to begin playing early encountered a frustrating error message that prevented them from accessing EA SPORTS FC 26 through their EA Play Pro subscription. The message stated the game couldn’t be activated with their account.

Currently, PC players are unable to start the new game, and there’s no temporary solution available. The developers are aware of the problem and expect to release a fix soon.

However, some EA Play members feel this isn’t sufficient, as early access was a key perk of their subscription. They argue that with each passing minute the game is unavailable, they’re getting closer to the standard release date for those who didn’t subscribe, and some are requesting some form of reimbursement.
“You should refund people who bought it…” said one reply.
“The least you could do is fix it immediately and offer compensation,” added another.
EA SPORTS knows about the problem and is already fixing it, so you should be able to access the game again shortly if you’re currently experiencing this error.
