Every year before the official launch of EA Sports FC (previously known as FIFA), players can access the Web App or EA Companion app. This allows them to begin building and managing their Ultimate Team squads, a hugely popular game mode, and start earning rewards by completing challenges. The latest version, FC 26, includes these early objectives, such as renaming your club. Many players are curious if they can complete this task before the full game is available, and we’ll explain how in this article.
Is it possible to change the club’s name in FC 26 Web App?
Starting yesterday, September 17, 2025, owners of FC 25 can now use the latest Web App features and start trading in the transfer market. This allows players to buy and sell player cards, adjust their team lineups, and complete Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) to earn rewards like packs and in-game currency.
A key first step in FIFA 26 is renaming your virtual club. It’s a quick and easy process, but you need to be able to access the game and launch Ultimate Team. Currently, while you can log in to the Web App, you can’t change your team’s name through it – you must do so within the game itself.
To do this, you need to start a new FC 26 career and change your club’s name directly within the game. Go to Ultimate Team, then the Settings menu, and select the ‘Rename Club’ option. As a reward, you’ll receive an untradeable Consumable Pack.
Players who bought the regular version of FC 26 can start this objective on September 26, 2025, when the game officially launches. However, those who purchased the Ultimate Edition will get access to the game starting tomorrow, September 19, 2025, and can begin the objective earlier.
