As a huge fan of Seinfeld, the holidays always get me thinking about the show, especially how it gave us Festivus – a fun, non-traditional way to celebrate the season. Even though Festivus 2025 is over, I was so excited to hear Jerry Seinfeld talk about a recent reunion that happened on Christmas Eve! It’s great news for us fans – now we have something new to enjoy alongside all those classic episodes we love to stream on Netflix.
Jerry Seinfeld spent Christmas Eve with his former Seinfeld colleagues, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Larry David. They had so much fun together, it was hard to get a photo of all of them looking at the camera! Seinfeld shared the picture with a caption hinting they all enjoyed the reunion.

If Seinfeld were still on TV in 2025, would Jerry and Elaine spend Christmas Eve together? The show’s ending in 1998 was so controversial that Jason Alexander even had to revisit it in 2019, after the criticism surrounding the Game of Thrones finale. But Seinfeld remains a popular choice for binge-watching on Netflix, and it’s fun to think about what Jerry, Elaine, and the gang would be doing almost thirty years later.
People still clearly love the show! Jerry Seinfeld’s Instagram is flooded with comments about it – everything from fans sharing fond memories to quoting their favorite lines. Here are a few examples:
- claudio14off_s: “Happy Festivus for the rest of us❤️”
- seinfeldepisodes:”Another Festivus miracle!”
- tatofalciano: “This is gold, Jerry. Gold!!!”
- pathgirlnyc: “You want a Christmas card?! Here’s your Christmas card!”
- relevantseinfeld: “This is my Mount Rushmore.”
- i_wantmydaddys_records: “Please do a reunion season. Or a movie or something.”
Many fans commenting on Jerry Seinfeld’s social media likely want to see the show return, and there’s probably a larger audience for it now than during its original run in the 90s, especially with all nine seasons available on Netflix. Even if a full revival doesn’t happen like with shows such as Frasier or Will & Grace, a Seinfeld movie would definitely be a big hit.
I’d love to see a reunion special like the one CBS did for Everybody Loves Raymond, and a holiday celebration in 2026—maybe a Festivus episode—would be fantastic. Thankfully, it seems like Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Larry David are still friends! Plus, Seinfeld is now available in 4K UHD as of 2024.
Several actors from Seinfeld – including Jason Alexander and Michael Richards – appeared on Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. In a 2009 episode titled “Seinfeld,” they reunited on the HBO series. If you’re hoping for a Seinfeld reunion, this Curb Your Enthusiasm episode is available to stream with an HBO Max subscription.
Even if we don’t see any new episodes, fans are enjoying the recent photos Jerry Seinfeld shared of the original cast getting together. And of course, you can always rewatch all the classic episodes on Netflix whenever you like.
