This is the first of three films from RobDaya, and it features less desert scenery than his previous work. The trailer for A24’s new movie, The Drama, shows Emma and Charlie (played by Zendaya and Robert Pattinson) meeting with their wedding photographer. The photographer is desperately trying to capture a spark between the couple, and asks them to share what they love about each other. Intercut with moments of flirting and romance, the trailer reveals Emma and Charlie exchanging worried, sweaty glances – hinting at a hidden secret. What is it? Charlie attempts to downplay the situation, simply calling it “just some drama.”
Kristoffer Borgli directs this upcoming film where something surprising happens during a couple’s wedding week, and they can’t cancel it. Hints in a promotional announcement suggest a significant age difference between the couple, which could be the source of the conflict. The film stars Robert Pattinson and Zendaya, alongside Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim, and Hailey Gates as wedding guests. The Drama hits theaters on April 3, 2026. Both Pattinson and Zendaya will also appear in The Odyssey in July, and Dune: Part 3 later that year. Interestingly, Tom Holland recently got married in real life, while Robert Pattinson is her on-screen spouse in this film.
