It’s looking increasingly likely that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be getting a remake or remaster. A listing has appeared on PEGI, a European content-rating board, suggesting the game is being updated for modern platforms.
The upcoming re-release of the popular Ubisoft game Assassin’s Creed Black Flag is officially titled Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and it’s rated for mature audiences (18+) due to violence, strong language, and the option to make purchases within the game. This rating suggests the game will be available soon.
The title ‘Resynced’ is a clever nod to the game’s core mechanic – the Animus, a virtual reality device that allows players to relive history through another person’s memories. It suggests a reconnection with the past. Alternatively, it could be a playful reference to seafaring terms.
The game ‘Assassin’s Creed Black Flag’ has received a rating from PEGI. You can find more details about the rating on their website: pegi.info/search-pegi/…

As a huge fan, I’ve been hearing whispers about a Black Flag remake for ages – it’s been an open secret in the gaming world since 2023! People have been spotting clues and voice actors have dropped hints for a while now. The latest buzz, just this November, suggests we might finally get our hands on it around the week of March 23, 2026, and honestly, I can’t wait!
It’s still unknown whether the upcoming release of Black Flag, called “Resynced,” will be a simple graphical update like the remasters of the Ezio trilogy and Assassin’s Creed III. The name “Resynced” suggests there might be new or altered content, and reports indicate the re-release will remove the modern-day story sections present in the original game – a significant difference.
As a big Assassin’s Creed fan, I was really excited to hear rumors about Black Flag Resynced potentially coming out in early 2026! It’s great news, especially since we just found out that Assassin’s Creed Shadows won’t be getting any more large story expansions. It feels like Ubisoft is listening to us and giving us something awesome to look forward to!
