A popular character from the Resident Evil games is officially coming to Requiem, as revealed through pre-order listings on the PlayStation Store.
For some time, there’s been talk that Leon S. Kennedy, the hero of Resident Evil 2 and 4, could appear in the next Resident Evil game. While sources like Dusk Golem have mentioned it, many fans haven’t been completely convinced because this insider’s predictions haven’t always been accurate.
Looks like the rumors are true! Several posts have confirmed that this character is indeed in the game. It’s thanks to pre-ordering Resident Evil Requiem – players who pre-ordered will find artwork of both Grace and Leon. We already knew an outfit inspired by Leon would be included, and now it seems the character himself makes an appearance.
Considering he’s featured on the game’s cover image in the PlayStation Store, even if it’s just a small thumbnail, it’s hard to believe this character is just a minor one. It seems this was an accidental reveal, as Capcom has been deliberately hiding his involvement, possibly planning to announce it at The Game Awards 2025. We know gameplay from RE Requiem will be shown at this year’s industry awards, so it looks like Sony unintentionally spoiled Capcom’s surprise for players.
