I’m so excited! Freshly Baked Games and Future Friends Games just announced their new retro-fantasy RPG, Queen’s Domain, and it’s coming to Steam in 2026! I’ve been following their work, and this looks like exactly the kind of game I love.
You can download a demo of Queen’s Domain on Steam today! The complete game will include a huge arsenal – more than 50 melee weapons, over 20 ranged weapons, and more than 100 different enemies and bosses. Queen’s Domain is scheduled to release on PC (Steam) in 2026.

Freshly Baked Games and Future Friends Games (known for CloverPit and Slots & Daggers) revealed their new project, a retro-style fantasy RPG called Queen’s Domain, during last night’s PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted.
Queen’s Domain draws inspiration from the classic game King’s Field, offering challenging, intense combat alongside a unique, retro-inspired fantasy look. Players will explore a large, interconnected island, uncovering secrets as they go.
Queen’s Domain is an action RPG with a retro-fantasy style. You begin the game stranded on the Isle of Neasied, where you’ll search for your father and discover the secrets hidden within this strange land.
Use the powerful Holy Sword Endu to soar between platforms and explore a vast, connected world full of hidden secrets and dangers.
Engage in fast-paced combat using stamina, strong charge attacks, unique weapon abilities, and throwable weapons. As you progress, you can improve your character, equip accessories, and choose from a wide variety of melee weapons to battle through waves of monsters and challenging bosses hidden within the island’s depths.

This demo lets you experience the beginning of the game, including exploring the first area, testing out different weapons, completing a dungeon, and fighting a challenging boss. You can likely play for about an hour.
