The trailer for The Boys season 5 shows a strange change in Homelander’s powers – his eye lasers appear as one solid beam instead of the usual two separate streams. As this happens, viewers notice what seems to be a syringe lying on the ground in the corner of the screen, leading fans to speculate about what’s going on.
The footage shows a syringe on the ground, followed by Homelander using a laser that appears incredibly strong – like a concentrated beam of light. Viewers speculate this could be a new method he’s using to increase his powers.
That small object has sparked a lot of discussion among fans. They’re linking it to a storyline from Season 4, where Homelander became obsessed with his aging appearance, constantly checking for grey hairs. Because of this, viewers now believe he might be using V-One, the original formula for Compound V, which offers almost eternal life and greatly enhanced powers.
One person agreed, suggesting that option V1 would allow someone to stop aging and gain enhanced abilities. Another commenter jokingly said V1 would be a logical choice for someone self-conscious about their graying hair.
