Everyone involved with Pluribus is hoping for a lot of recognition, and a nomination for a major award would make it much harder for the show to be canceled. Creator Gilligan is familiar with awards season, and as the final episode of the season nears, the show’s potential for winning awards is likely to be a major topic of discussion.
Rhea Seehorn Is Already An Emmy Frontrunner
Rhea Seehorn is competing for an award against Kathy Bates (Matlock), Britt Lower (Severance), Helen Mirren (MobLand), Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us), and Keri Russell (The Diplomat). While all of these actresses gave fantastic performances, many believe Seehorn is the likely winner.
Seehorn’s performance as Carol Sturka is outstanding. She portrays a deeply sad character, even before the strange events begin, and skillfully balances that sorrow with moments of both humor and bravery.
Rhea Seehorn is now a strong contender for an Emmy Award. Her recent Golden Globe nomination significantly increases her chances of being nominated for the Emmys, which will be announced this summer. A Golden Globe win would almost certainly secure her an Emmy nomination.
