On the main menu, press the ‘X’ button (if you’re playing on Nintendo Switch), the ‘Y’ button (on Xbox), or the ‘Triangle’ button (on PlayStation) to see any bonus content unlocked from playing Octopath Traveler.
How to transfer Octopath Traveler 0 save data from Switch to Switch 2 version
You can move your saved progress from the original Octopath Traveler on Switch to the new version on Switch, directly from the title screen. However, this isn’t an upgrade – the two games are purchased separately, as I explained previously.
How to claim Octopath Traveler 0 save data bonuses in-game
After completing the prologue, you can visit any city’s bar and speak to the bartender. Choose the “Claim Bonuses” option to see any rewards you’ve earned from save data or downloadable content.
What to do if Octopath Traveler 0 isn’t detecting your save data for bonuses
If you already own these games, you’ll need to download your save files. On Nintendo Switch, make sure your saves are on your new Switch 2. If you played on PlayStation 4, ensure those saves are transferred to your PS5. For Octopath Traveler 0 on Steam, play it using the same account where you own the other games.
If the game isn’t recognizing your save data bonuses, double-check that your saves have finished downloading. Then, restart Octopath Traveler 0 and press the ‘A’ button to see if the bonuses are detected. You don’t need to own the full games – Octopath Traveler 0 just needs to find the save data on your console (or see a record of your purchases on PC).
