Big cities often feel like they’re always changing, but in Wuthering Waves 2.8, you’ll discover a new area that feels frozen in time, like a city preserved in amber.
Okay, so the new 2.8 update just dropped, and it’s wild! We’re now in Honami City, which is seriously messed up – it’s stuck in a time loop and nature is starting to take over. Basically, we have to figure out what’s happening and uncover all the secrets hidden inside this huge Tower that overlooks the city. It’s a really cool setup, and I’m already hooked!
Two new characters are now available to play! Meet Chisa, who fights with a unique weapon called Kumokiri, and Buling, a Taoist skilled in divination. Together, they’ll investigate a strange mystery hidden within the city.
In the City
You’ll be able to explore Honami City thoroughly, not just via the new story content but also by getting on the ground yourself in the newly added Chronorift Metropolis location. You’ll want to keep your eyes out for features Resonator Convenes too, to nab some big names (be sure to check our

Longtime players will be most thrilled by the significant improvements coming to Wuthering Waves’ combat and core systems.
