As a seasoned movie enthusiast and someone who has spent countless hours glued to the small screen, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nostalgia as Fox unveils its midseason premiere dates. The upcoming schedule promises a rollercoaster ride of emotions, from the bittersweet farewell of “9-1-1: Lone Star” to the high-octane debut of “Doc”.
Fox has revealed when it plans to resume some shows in the middle of the season, with the final episode of “9-1-1: Lone Star” among them.
Back in September, it was announced that “Lone Star” would be wrapping up with its fifth season on Fox. Now, the show is set to return on January 20th at 8 p.m. ET, followed by “Rescue: Hi Surf.” The series finale of “Lone Star” will then air on February 3rd at 9 p.m. ET.
Starting January 2nd, “Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen” will make its comeback on Fox at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, marking the beginning of their midseason launches. At 9 p.m., the third season of the Joel McHale comedy “Animal Control” will premiere, followed by “Going Dutch,” a new military workplace comedy starring Denis Leary at 9:30 p.m. These shows will create a fresh Thursday comedy block on the network.
On January 7th, the fresh medical drama “Doc” will make its debut at 9 pm, immediately following “Kitchen Nightmares: Road to Super Bowl LIX.” The show “Doc” was initially commissioned for series by Fox in 2023. Starting from January 8th, Fox will introduce Season 3 of the reality competition series “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,” airing from 8-10 pm.
Fox Television will broadcast Super Bowl LIX on February 9, and the live coverage starts at 6:30 PM Eastern Time. This event marks the beginning of what is being referred to as “Fox’s Super Week.” Following the Super Bowl, the premiere of the quiz show “The Floor,” hosted by Rob Lowe, will air, with its exact timing depending on the duration of the game. Originally planned for the post-Super Bowl time slot was “Rescue: Hi Surf,” but the episode scheduled to follow the Super Bowl will now be shown on February 10 at 9 PM.
On February 12th at 8 p.m., Season 13 of “The Masked Singer” will make its debut, leading into the premiere of “The Floor” at 9 p.m. The next day, on February 13th, Gordon Ramsay kicks off Season 4 of “Next Level Chef” at 8 p.m., followed by “Animal Control” and then “Going Dutch.
