8BitDo has unveiled two new controllers tailored for fighting game enthusiasts. Set to release on July 15 for both Nintendo Switch/PC and Xbox/PC, the 8BitDo Arcade Controller is a sleek, leverless fight pad. In the current fighting game scene, all-button arcade “sticks” have gained significant popularity; some players prefer these due to the dedicated directional and jump buttons, which make it simpler to execute precise inputs for special moves and combos. However, leverless models are typically more expensive, particularly when seeking a dependable and customizable device. Priced between $90-$100, 8BitDo’s Arcade Controller will be the most cost-effective option from major brands. Both versions offer wireless connectivity on their respective platforms as well as PC. Preorders for the 8BitDo Arcade Controller are now available at Amazon for Switch/PC and Xbox/PC.

8BitDo’s Arcade Controller, featuring the classic feel of a joystick, is now up for grabs. Just like its levelerless counterpart, this controller comes in Switch and Xbox versions, and they both are compatible with PC. The Switch/PC model will set you back $90, while the Xbox/PC version costs $120 and can be purchased in either black or white.
8BitDo produces a range of top-quality controllers, including the versatile and highly adaptable 8BitDo Ultimate 2, which was recently launched for PC/Android and Bluetooth compatible devices like the Nintendo Switch/PC. The Ultimate 2 builds upon its predecessor with several enhancements. It features TMR electromagnetic joysticks, programmable buttons, customizable lighting accents, and adjustable trigger locks.
If you’re keen on the Xbox Arcade Controller, you might want to explore the freshly launched 3-Mode Ultimate Controller. This versatile device works wirelessly with PC and Android systems, and can be connected wired on Xbox. It’s officially endorsed by Xbox and boasts a translucent green color scheme that draws inspiration from one of the original Xbox’s most sought-after special editions.
Earlier this year, 8BitDo introduced a matching transparent green mechanical keyboard and gaming mouse, which, while not compatible with Xbox, offer budget-friendly flexibility for PC and Mac users.
Currently, the Xbox Edition Retro Mechanical Keyboard is on sale at Woot for just $80 (originally $120).
