Okay, so I just heard this crazy story! Apparently, a Chick-fil-A location fired its entire night shift crew – all eight of them – because they were in a TikTok video that blew up online at the end of March. It’s pretty wild to think they lost their jobs over a viral video!
On March 21st, TikTok user lland1n shared a video of his coworkers at Chick-fil-A dancing to a mashup created by TikToker DJ Vic, combining the songs “Wanna Mingle” and “Top of Cars.”
I posted a video with the caption “my CFA crew better than yours,” and it totally blew up on TikTok! As of right now, it’s already gotten over 5 million views, and everyone’s asking what’s going on – it’s been crazy!
In a video posted on March 26th, lland1n clarified that the entire staff of their store had been fired for participating in the viral video.

He said they all lost their jobs. Before speaking out, he’d checked with his coworkers and explained what he wanted them to do during their shifts.
It looked like a Chick-fil-A, but it wasn’t an official restaurant. I posted the video immediately after filming it, while the restaurant was empty and closed. I even said I’d remove it if anyone had a problem with it,” lland1n explained.
I found out I was fired on Sunday – people started messaging me after the video went up on Friday. It is what it is.
The TikTok user didn’t reveal where they were fired, but past posts suggest they worked at the Chick-fil-A located at Tuskegee University in Alabama.
Other employees have confirmed the account of the firings, with many suggesting a written warning would have been enough of a consequence.
One person commented that being fired on a day off was unbelievable. Another suggested they should have claimed the work was edited using AI.
