Younger Toguro proves to be a powerful final boss, not only because of his strength, but also due to his shared history with Genkai and his similarities to Yusuke.
Naruto’s Chunin Exams Usher In Intimidating Antagonists That Establish A New Status Quo
This arc isn’t just one of the best in the series, it’s a fantastic tournament storyline overall. It takes a classic competition format and ramps up the tension with serious consequences. The fights are incredible, and we learn a lot more about the world, while also meeting some of the series’ most beloved characters.
Honestly, the Chunin Exams are just fantastic because they really focus on how the characters grow, and they make you think about whether people are born with a path already set for them, or if it’s all about how hard they work. Watching Naruto really step up as a leader during the exams was awesome, but for me, Rock Lee’s fight against Gaara is still the absolute best fight scene ever – in any anime, really!
