Jack Reacher, played by Alan Ritchson, is back for a fourth season of the popular action series on Prime Video. The new season is expected to be based on the Tom Clancy novel Gone Tomorrow and promises to be one of the show’s best, giving Ritchson plenty of opportunities to showcase his action skills.
Alan Ritchson’s impressive physique definitely makes the current Jack Reacher a powerful action hero, but he’s not the strongest ever seen on TV. Throughout television history, several actors have portrayed characters with incredible strength, surpassing even Jack Reacher and solidifying their place as all-time greats.
B.A. Baracus Is the Powerhouse of the A-Team
When people think of iconic action heroes on TV, Mr. T from The A-Team often comes to mind. He plays Sergeant Bosco “B.A.” Baracus, nicknamed “Bad Attitude,” who is the team’s mechanic and provides the strength they need for their risky adventures.
B.A. Baracus from The A-Team is arguably the show’s most iconic character, largely due to Mr. T’s unforgettable portrayal. He perfectly embodies the tough, muscular hero so popular in the 1980s, and helped create a new model for action heroes. While Jack Reacher shares some similarities with B.A., Reacher’s quieter personality diminishes his sense of power.
Xena Is a Warrior Princess With a Mean Streak
The TV show Xena: Warrior Princess aired in the late 1990s and starred Lucy Lawless as the main character, Princess Xena. Xena originally appeared as a villain on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, but she later changed her ways and spent the rest of her life helping those in need.
Okay, let me tell you about Xena. She’s a seriously skilled fighter, relying mostly on her weapons prowess, but she’s not just muscle. There’s a touch of the supernatural at play – a little bit of magic here, a quick burst of telekinesis there. And this isn’t a hero who avoids the big leagues; she’s gone toe-to-toe with actual gods, like Ares! Honestly, when you compare her to someone like Jack Reacher, who’s strong, sure, but still just human… Xena is on a whole other level. She truly earns the title of greatest warrior princess.
Rick Grimes Is Deceptively Strong in The Walking Dead
I’ve always been amazed by Rick Grimes. He starts out as this regular, small-town sheriff, but when the zombie apocalypse hits, he totally transforms. Andrew Lincoln plays him with this incredible intensity – Rick’s just a fierce survivor, and honestly, he’s unlike any action hero I’ve ever seen on TV. He’s easily one of the strongest, most compelling characters ever created for television, in my opinion.
Rick Grimes might not be physically imposing like some heroes, but his unwavering will to survive makes him incredibly dangerous. He’s fiercely dedicated to protecting himself and his family, and will go to any length to ensure their survival – as demonstrated throughout the series. Whether it means fighting with his bare hands or making difficult sacrifices, Rick refuses to give up.
Geralt of Rivia Is Nearly Unbeatable in The Witcher
Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill for the first three seasons and Liam Hemsworth for the last two, is a monster hunter who operates in a magical, fantastical world. While he’s known for his skill with swords, he’ll use anything he can find in a fight. Throughout his career, he’s battled numerous terrifying creatures, and he always manages to win.
Geralt and Jack Reacher are similarly built and physically imposing. But their backgrounds are quite different: Reacher was rigorously trained in black ops, while Geralt never had formal training. Thanks to magical enhancements, Geralt’s abilities surpass even those of a skilled action hero like Jack Reacher, making him one of the most powerful protagonists ever seen on TV.
Daredevil Is the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen
Matt Murdock leads a double life: by day, he’s a seemingly ordinary blind lawyer, but at night, he transforms into a daring and relentless vigilante. He’s been featured in several TV shows within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, consistently overcoming incredibly powerful foes like Kingpin and the Hand to ultimately prevail.
Daredevil stands out from most Marvel superheroes because he doesn’t have natural superpowers that make him a better fighter. He protects Hell’s Kitchen using his incredibly sharp senses, quick reflexes, and expert boxing skills. Although Jack Reacher is bigger and stronger, Daredevil is faster, more nimble, and more determined, making him a more complete and effective fighter overall.
