Essentially, if the Avatar character fails to resonate with viewers or establish a strong connection, it could undermine the core message and impact of the series as a whole.

Bending must be more versatile and better than ever

In order for Seven Havens’ Avatar-like show to truly shine, it’s essential that the ancient art of bending returns with fresh, captivating twists. The routine use of fire and water manipulation in modern media has become quite familiar, so avoiding innovation in combat sequences for this upcoming animated series could be a significant misstep.

In the world of Korra, the technique of bending underwent physical transformation, resulting in a dynamic and swift movement style that replaced the traditional fluidity with a more energetic and rapid pace. Additionally, specialized forms of bending like metal and lava bending gained increased significance.

In the world of Seven Havens, I think it would be great to add more specialized variations. Specifically, air bending could benefit from a major redesign since currently, it’s not only the least powerful but also the most static bending style. However, with its immense potential for creativity, it has the opportunity to shine in unique and exciting ways.

In the third season of Korra, the antagonist Zaheer mastered flight using his airbending abilities, a feat not seen since then. Expanding on this idea by making flight more widespread among airbenders and perhaps introducing gravity benders as well could be an incredibly smart narrative choice.
