As a seasoned gamer with decades of Halo under my belt, I must say the recent developments at 343 Industries, now rebranded as Halo Studios, are nothing short of exhilarating! 343 Industries, known for producing the Halo series, underwent a significant transformation and rebranded to Halo Studios. This change was announced prior to the final match of the Halo World Championship 2024 in Seattle, Washington, USA on October 6th, 2024. The studio has now shed its old name and is officially known as Halo Studios. They showcased a new tech demo and revealed that multiple Halo games are currently in development, for which they’re actively hiring.

But what’s more, during the esports tournament event, there was another significant revelation: The studio announced that it will be transitioning from Slipspace Engine to Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5 (UE5), due to the ongoing technical problems with the Slipspace engine, according to a report by Windows Central in 2023. These problems, stemming from its outdated code, have led to delays in releasing several multiplayer modes for Halo: Infinite.
