It’s common knowledge that the 2025 release of “Sinners” is one of the most anticipated movies, and it’s easy to see why! This Ryan Coogler film received a flawless rating in our review and had an impressive debut at the box office, even for an original production. As someone who often attends Universal Halloween Horror Nights, I can’t help but express my belief that this horror movie deserves a house at the theme park right away.
Fun fact: Last year, I evaluated all Universal Studios Orlando houses, and surprisingly, the original house I stepped into evoked strong memories of the movie Sinners. It’s left me craving a haunted house adaptation of that film even more. So, let’s dive in!
The Original Universal Horror Nights House Sinners Totally Reminds Me Of
Yearly, Universal transforms well-known franchises and invents unique experiences, such as Haunted Houses. In October of 2023, I was captivated by a Haunted House titled The Darkest Deal, which sent shivers down my spine. I rated it No. 2, trailing only the Stranger Things 4 house, making it my favorite original house that year and quite possibly ever. This house told the chilling story of a young blues musician living in the Mississippi Delta who sold his soul for fame and fortune. As his dreams began to materialize, he suffered when he was eventually pulled to Hell itself by the end. The House was unveiled prior to Sinners being announced.
Initially, I expressed my desire for a movie, TV series, and video game adaptation because it was “extremely captivating yet thought-provoking, while also being incredibly enjoyable to explore,” and about a year and a half later, that request surprisingly manifested in the release of Sinners. I find it unlikely that there’s any connection between the two, but experiencing The Darkest Deal has only intensified my longing for a Sinners themed home.

Sure, Sinners May Not Be A Universal Film, But That Hasn’t Stopped Other Houses Before
Let me clarify one point before diving into my request for a Sinners Halloween Horror Nights house. Despite the fact that Sinners is a Warner Bros. film, not a Universal production, it doesn’t necessarily mean it can’t be included in their theme park offerings. In fact, The Exorcist, another Warner Bros. property, has been featured at Horror Nights almost every year I’ve attended Universal for the event.
Previously, there were also “Conjuring” themed houses, owned by Warner Bros. Similarly, in 2023, a “The Last of Us” house was introduced, which has a series produced by WB’s HBO. To add to that, the Harry Potter movies are part of Warner Bros., and there’s even an entire land dedicated to the Wizarding World. Recently, Universal collaborated with other studios, such as Sony for the “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” house from last year, or the “Insidious” house from the same year. Therefore, having a theme park collaboration is definitely feasible!

Sinners’ Premise Is Perfect For An Immersive Experience
Mostly set within Club Juke, which transforms from a shed to a thriving nightclub, “Sinners” unfolds primarily due to Michael B. Jordan’s dual characters, Smoke and Stack, orchestrating the lively event. This club setting, with its potential for horror-filled nights, is eerily reminiscent of a house for Halloween terrors. Imagine strolling into a chaotic party, where the difference between scare actors and revelers becomes blurred, adding an unsettling twist to the experience as both groups play their parts – some genuinely enjoying themselves, while others lurk in the shadows as vampires, ready to instill fear.
As someone who’s ventured through numerous homes during Horror Nights, I must say, there’s something uniquely chilling about a narrative that guides us through the various rooms of a single location. The fact that some scenes unfold outside the shed adds an extra layer of suspense. Witnessing this straightforward tale of terror, immersed as a guest within the house itself, promises to be both terrifying and exhilarating.

Its Haunting Soundtrack Would Really Elevate A HHN House Version
Another aspect that makes this film unique is its musical element, a significant part of the movie’s charm. Imagine being immersed in Club Juke, grooving along until the atmosphere takes a chilling turn! It could also feature an interactive section where you engage with other club-goers, share a secret password, request a drink, and enjoy some blues tunes before things take a sinister twist.
As for one of the most intriguing scenes, I’d love to see the moment when “Preacher Boy” Sammie crosses time boundaries and witnesses dancers from different eras mingling in the crowd. How thrilling would it be to stand right in the middle of that scene, yet feel a sense of fear as the atmosphere becomes more terrifying?
By the way, have you ever thought about how chilling it would be if, in a house setting, we saw the vampires performing an Irish jig? It’d certainly give them quite the workout! All in all, Sinners is a film brimming with narrative possibilities… particularly when considering the generous amount of fake blood it employs.

And, A Sinners House Would Probably Smell Amazing (Mostly)
Personally speaking as a horror movie enthusiast, I can’t help but delight in the concept of a chilling Night House that reeks of garlic! Garlic plays a significant role in the narrative since it’s used to ensure no one has been transformed into a vampire. It’s fascinating how Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights consistently incorporates aromas into their haunted houses to amplify the immersive experience. I still remember the scent of marshmallows wafting through the recent Ghostbusters house, and the thrill it brought me, or discussing with The Last of Us creators about the inclusion of burnt corpses’ odor in theirs.
At the moment, it’s uncertain which houses will appear at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, however, there are rumors suggesting titles such as “M3GAN 2.0”, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”, and “Terrifier”. Given that “Sinners” has gained significant popularity among horror enthusiasts, and considering Universal’s past success with similar houses, I really hope they bring it to life this year.
