1997 Japanese MS-DOS RPG Amel Broat is getting a remake for Nintendo Switch on April 30

PLiCy announced that their game, Amel Broat, will launch on Nintendo Switch on April 30th. Pre-orders are now open on the Japanese Nintendo eShop.

The first version of this game was available for free, but this updated version for Nintendo Switch will cost ¥3,980 (currently on sale for ¥3,383 until May 13th). This price reflects the significant work put into the remake, which includes updated 2.5D graphics for gameplay and 3D anime-style cutscenes. The original creator, Shou, is also completely re-recording all 57 songs from the game using a synthesizer.

This new version of the story will feature an extra plotline and a second main character, Tine, alongside the original protagonist, Arya. Tine was once Princess Celestina, but after being executed by the emperor, she was brought back to life using forbidden magic. All episodes, both main story and side stories, will be fully voiced in Japanese.
