As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that D4 Enterprise has brought back a cherished classic! They’ve ported the 1900 X68000 version of Hydlide 3: The Space Memories Special Version for contemporary Windows PCs. You can now relive the magic through the Japanese Project EGG platform.
With this update, we’ve included another rendition of Hydlide 3, expanding our existing library even further. In fact, back in 2023, we launched a port of Hydlide 3 SV, inspired by the PC-9801 version from 1989. Over time, we’ve also brought over the original Hydlide 3 from platforms like MSX, MSX2, X1, and even the initial PC-8801 version on November 21, 1987.
The third installment of the renowned Japanese game trilogy, known as Hydlide 3, is currently unavailable on Nintendo Switch, unlike its predecessors which have been globally distributed, albeit in their original Japanese versions without localization. As of now, D4 Enterprise has not yet announced a Switch port for Hydlide 3.

In 1990, T&E SOFT unveiled an upgraded edition of “HYDLIDE 3” for the X68000 platform. This enhanced version boasts new maps, additional content, and boasts improved visuals and altered sound effects compared to its original release.
