1990 MSX2 release of Mado Monogatari 1-2-3 gets an EGG Console port for Nintendo Switch on June 26

D4 Enterprise has announced that they will unveil a Nintendo Switch version of the 1990 MSX2 release of “Mado Monogatari 1-2-3” under the title EGG Console. They have also set up a pre-order link on the North American eShop, priced at around $15.26. However, the listing is not yet live and is expected to go online by the official release date of June 26th.

Incidentally, versions of the Arle Nadja trilogy collection from 1990 (MSX2) and 1991 (PC-9801) have also been made available on the Project EGG platform for Windows PC. However, it’s important to note that this collection wasn’t the very first release in the series. The distinction of being the first game goes to Mado Monogatari: Episode II Carbuncle for MSX2, which was released in 1989. Creator Kazunari Yonemitsu mentioned that he was inspired by the Star Wars series to produce the second episode before the first one.
