The creation of Flowstone Saga can be traced back to the 2000s, when Andrew Aversa and Andrew Luers, both sharing a passion for video game music, crossed paths via the OverClocked ReMix community. As a professional producer and composer, Aversa teamed up with multi-instrumentalist and graphic designer Luers for the first time on Tangledeep. Since then, they’ve continued their collaboration, working together on more Tangledeep content, and now co-designing Flowstone Saga, with Aversa serving as the lead programmer and Luers as the creative director.
Story & Gameplay
Step into the vibrant realm of Ocean’s End, where I take on the role of Mirai – a spirited protagonist who sets out to construct her crew and settlement while uncovering her hidden abilities and finding her niche in this fascinating world. In Flowstone Saga, combat takes an innovative twist as players can switch between turn-based and real-time combat at their convenience, employing intriguing puzzle mechanics to keep battles engaging. Strategic maneuvering is the key to defeating pirates, gargantuan beetles, and at least one adorable axolotl! For fans of classic RPGs on the SNES and PlayStation, exploring, building, battling, and spell-casting in Flowstone Saga’s enigmatic world will feel like a nostalgic homecoming.
