In stark contrast to Bulma, Vegeta has demonstrated remarkable self-control by not misusing the Dragon Balls; instead, he’s been using them to aid others.

He stubbornly resisted until he realized that it was the smartest way for him to get back to Earth. After some time, Vegeta managed to overcome his own resistance and suppress his ego, eventually leaving Yardrat with improved control over his spirit and the powerful Forced Spirit Fission ability. Interestingly, instead of using this power for himself, Vegeta chose to boost Goku’s strength with it, demonstrating selflessness once again.

In various instances, the protagonists look towards numerous options, but ultimately, Dragon Ball Z concludes in a conventional showdown between Goku and the main antagonist. The Spirit Bomb, a favored method of ending battles in Dragon Ball Z’s early arcs and films, proves an ideal choice against a regenerating adversary like Kid Buu. In the climactic battle, Goku summons a Super Spirit Bomb – his most powerful iteration of the attack to date – with numerous characters from across the series making brief appearances as they contribute energy to Goku’s final assault. Touched by Goku’s resolve, determination, and unbridled passion for combat, Vegeta decides to contribute his own energy to Goku’s Super Spirit Bomb.

It’s notable that Vegeta doesn’t display the same generosity in the Tournament of Power when it comes to contributing energy for Universe 7’s Spirit Bomb. Instead, he chooses not to participate in this instance.
Vegeta Goes Above & Beyond To Protect Universe 7
The Tournament of Power is exhilarating from the get-go, yet its climactic moments pack a powerful punch due to the formidable fighters still standing and the growing sense of desperation among them. Vegeta faces some worthy adversaries, particularly Jiren and Top, who hail from Universe 11’s Pride Troopers. As the battle rages on, Top unleashes his Destroyer Form, a power level that rivals a God of Destruction. Vegeta has recently elevated his Super Saiyan Blue form to new heights with his Super Saiyan Blue Evolved state. In response, Top readies his most potent attack, the Energy of Destruction. In counterattack, Vegeta responds with his Final Explosion technique, a self-sacrificing move.
In a desperate move, Vegeta, with no other alternatives, contemplates the welfare of his cherished ones before deciding to sacrifice himself, ensuring the safety of his team’s remaining fighters in the Tournament of Power. His attack possesses the strength necessary to counter Top’s attack and knock him out of the tournament. Incredibly, Vegeta manages to cheat death after his self-destruct attempt and, bolstered by his enhanced Super Saiyan Blue Evolved power, he not only survives but also endures the subsequent attack.
